Water Leak Repairs Update: Leak #1 in Hopeton proper is wrapping up and the crew will move to Leak #2 approximately 2 miles South of Hopeton. The leak in Hopeton was approximately a 6 foot split in one of our 16 inch lines that feeds the City. Leak #2 is even bigger, but will be easier to repair as they are able to completely shut off the water flow in that location. We are hopeful that in a couple of hours they will get the valves opened back up and water flowing to town. A huge KUDOS to the Water and Street Departments. They have been working together as a team to get this fixed. We will send out another update when Leak #2 is buttoned up and they are turning valves back on.
